I am Zurab Tsertsvadze. I was born in 1987 in Georgia. The knowledge and experience I received at the Tbilisi State Art Academy profoundly showed me the importance of striving towards inner freedom, which is so crucial for artist. After finishing my studies, I worked at the National Agency for Cultural Heritage preservation of Georgia. The reason for my dismissal after six years of service was a difference of political views with the ruling circle. It was here where I vividly comprehended the significance of freedom of speech, the importance of democratic values.
I am a photojournalist today. I cooperate with agencies such as AP and AFP. I am a photographer of the Georgian Red Cross.
I actively seek to raise awareness of the injustices that have occurred and prominently emphasize them on the world news page so that my country will be able to find strong friends among you on its path to democracy, freedom of speech, and human rights protection.
